waning in borrowed light

When you don’t move

for more than a moment,

time goes past- a tangent

to my circle of view and

I translate the code of breaths,

the syntax of heartbeats, and find

all the conjunctions that join us.

But at the end of every night, the moon

stays single waning in borrowed light.
